Cantine del Notaio is pleased to welcome new friends and guests from Italy and abroad to taste wines, visit the ancient Franciscan caves of volcanic tuff that radiate around the Facìle, tell you about stories, traditions of the area and viticulture.
Guided tour of the historic ageing caves of volcanic tufa dating back to the 1600s with a table tasting of 4 glasses and platter of typical Lucanian cold cuts and cheeses and various Lucanian excellences. The choice of labels for tasting is at the discretion of the sommelier.

Cantine del Notaio, in the green heart of Basilicata, has dedicated its commitment and research to exploring all the oenological potential of Aglianico which, in Vulture, finds its best expression for a happy combination of temperatures (with strong summer temperature ranges and very high summer temperatures), rainfall (absent in summer) and soil for the presence of volcanic tuff that "suckles the vines").
The farm has about 40 hectares divided into particularly suitable areas (so-called first zones) of 5 municipalities of Vulture (Maschito, Ripacandida, Ginestra, Rionero in Vulture and Barile).
Extraordinary conditions for aging wines in ancient tuff caves of 1600, belonged to the Franciscan Fathers that develop on about 1,500 square meters of underground space, ensuring a very high humidity, constant all year round.
The company, from the scientific study on the vine and from a recovery of ancient traditions (interpreted in a more modern key), produces 16 different wines, 14 of which are based on Aglianico del Vulture and the others with vines such as Moscato, Malvasia, Chardonnay, Fiano and Sauvignon.
