Oinoe-The city of wine is located on the first hills of Parma (Guardasone di Traversetolo), in the heart of the Emilian "Food Valley". The winery is surrounded by 50 hectares of land, 23 of which are vineyards.
Oinoe is a family-run business: the Cerioli family, following Alex, has succeeded in creating a microcosm on the Guardasone hill all centred on wine. The great passion for this product is combined with the experience and culture of work that constitutes the most important part of the legacy handed down from generation to generation.
Among the varieties cultivated there are autochthonous and "historical" grape varieties of the hillside viticulture of Parma (Lambrusco Maestri, Malvasia di Candia Aromatica, Bonarda and Barbera) and non-autochthonous grape varieties, mainly deriving from the influence of French domination also in the enoculture of the province, such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Blanc, Chardonnay and Moscato. A particular terroir (geological texture) and a particularly favourable microclimate, allow to cultivate also these types with surprising results.
The winery has recently obtained SQNPI certification for advanced integrated agriculture, which protects human health and the environment while respecting the criteria of full sustainability and minimizing the impact of production on nature.
Particular care is given to the various production cycles: tillage, pruning and hand-picking of the grapes gently placed in small crates, which guarantees that the grapes are kept intact. The modern production techniques adopted and the cold processing then allow to preserve intact flavors, aromas, and characteristics of the various types of wine produced in the most natural way possible.
The non-waisted land, adjacent to the vineyards of the property, is cultivated in rotation with different types of wheat and chickpeas, to produce more types of stone-ground flour and different shapes of pasta.
