Immersed in the splendid and luxuriant setting of the Monte Subasio Park, a few kilometers from the seraphic city of Assisi, at about 800 meters above sea level, a dream linked to nature, bio-wellbeing and excellence is born. Tenuta Baroni Campanino combines the tradition and warmth of the south with the entrepreneurship of the north. The verdant territory of Umbria is the place we have chosen for our search for authenticity, excellence and eco-sustainability.
A dream born many years ago in the mind and heart of the last progenitor of the noble Campanino family, of Neapolitan origin, who wanted to combine nature, history, science and excellence. The renovation of the original structures took place respecting the tradition and the architecture of the place. The same love and the same attention guide us every day in the selection of crops and farms, which have allowed us to obtain our excellent products: meats, cured meats, legumes, oil, beers and wines.
Only the deep roots produced by time have allowed us to defeat the natural fear that a challenge like the one we had imagined, to re-plant ten hectares of vineyards between 700m and 900m above sea level, strongly generated within us. the imperative of being able to recover the history of the area has provided us with the enthusiasm, energy and courage this project needed to be born. A constant research into the history of places and their traditions aimed at expressing the essence of the terroir of the mountains of Assisi, following in the footsteps of those who preceded us, has allowed the Campanino vineyards, born only ten years ago, to earn in such a short time a deserved place among the Italian companies of heroic viticulture.
Our company Baroni Campanino immediately chose to use the organic, dynamic and organic viticulture method, thus leaving nature itself with its cycles to be the mother of our wines, in order to create distinctive, genuine and clear and defined character.
We respect the innate character of each wine and we try to make its path: from the soil to the cellar to the bottle as much as possible, absolutely natural, in full respect of the Umbrian wine tradition, where the wines, based on Sangiovese, Trebbiano, Colorino and Malvasia have been produced for centuries. We wish to contribute to the profusion of this ancient knowledge and its future, making us spokespersons for this important legacy.
