Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso is a native red wine from Friuli Venezia Giulia, cultivated for over 2000 years.

Characterized by a deep red color and an alcohol content of 13%, this 2021 wine offers a rich and evolved bouquet with notes of red berry fruit and sweet spices.

On the palate, it presents a firm and full structure, with flavors of raspberry, blueberry, currant and cherry, nicely contrasted with peppery spices.

Ideal to serve at 18° C, uncorking the bottle 20 minutes beforehand, Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso pairs perfectly with Friulian dishes, game, grilled meats and aged cheeses.

Our activity began in Trieste at the beginning of the 20th century as a company for the wine trade in the local Free Port.
It was the love for viticulture that the founder Romano Vitas - who bought the Strassoldo estate back in 1937.

The date of construction of the VILLA is indicated between the end of the 17th and the beginning of the 18th century.
In 1891, then Austrian territory, the property passed to Baron Kuhn von Kuhnenfeld, Minister of War and advisor to Emperor Franz Joseph.
In 1937 it was purchased by Commendatore Romano Vitas, who chose it as the seat of his family's wine business.
