The territory of BOTTICINO is an amphitheatre of hills arranged in a horseshoe shape, open towards the south.
These soft reliefs, entirely made up of calcium carbonate, host our vineyards at about 380 m above sea level; between one vineyard and the next there are quarries for the extraction of the precious marble "Botticino Classico", which is widely present in the subsoil.
The universally recognised ELEGANCE of Botticino stone is the same as that which the marly soil gives to BOTTICINO wine.
In the vineyard, under a first layer of about 50 cm of soil, the vines find the white marble that characterizes this area and is fundamental for viticulture: in the soil we find very high percentages of limestone, calcium carbonate and other minerals, which together with the clays, give rise to the typical Marne.
The minerals are then assimilated by the plants and contribute to the structure of Botticino DOC, giving flavour and elegance to Noventa wines.
BOTTICINO D.o.c. is a blend of all Italian grapes: Barbera and Sangiovese for the most part, a little Marzemino and a little Schiava Gentile.
We work in organic farming because we want to preserve this unique territory, which allows us, due to its physical and geological conformation, to obtain wines of excellent organoleptic qualities.
